Ana Kristina Gasteyer, an American actress and performer, is also a stand-up comedian. She is most notable for her tenure as a cast participant on the NBC sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live from 1996 through 2002. Since then, she has appeared in as sitcoms as ABC's Suburgatory TBS People of Earth NBC American Auto and Mean Girls. Gasteyer started her career in Northwestern University. She initially trained in voice but later moved to theatre after she got involved with students' improv comedy groups. She's carried the same attitude through several roles in the supporting roles of Sheila Shay from Suburgatory (as the controlling Sheila Shay) and Karen Grisham as the exaggerated agent in Lady Dynamite.
